About us
The Stroke Unit provides 24/7 access to acute stroke treatment.
We offer thrombolysis (a 'clot busting' drug) and endovascular clot retrieval (procedure to remove blockages in the brain), as well as on-site referrals to Neurosurgery and Vascular Surgery.
After a stroke, you will be cared for on our Neurology ward, and assessed and cared for by a specialised team of nurses and allied health. The ward has a 4-bed Stroke High Dependency Unit.
