What we do
We provide the following ophthalmology services:
- Cataract surgery and intraocular lens implants
- Glaucoma management with laser and surgery
- Retinal diseases including intravitreal anti-VEGF injections and retinal laser treatment
- Orbital (eye socket), oculoplastic (eyelid) and lacrimal (tear duct) surgery
- Strabismus and ocular alignment surgery in adults
What to expect
You will have an initial assessment by one of our orthoptists, who will check your vision and eye pressure and carry out appropriate investigations in the clinic.
These investigations may include OCT scans, fundus photos, visual field tests, corneal topography or biometry.
Your pupils will be dilated, and your vision will be blurred for approximately 4 hours.
You will then be assessed by one of our doctors, who will discuss your diagnosis and management plan with you.
Please allow 2 hours for your appointment.
We recommend that you do not drive to and from your ophthalmology appointment, and that you bring sunglasses to reduce glare when your pupils are dilated.

When you come to hospital for your appointment, you need to bring:
- Medicare card
- Health care card/concession card (if applicable)
