- Observing ANZAC Day at the Repat

24 April 2025
This morning we hosted our annual ANZAC Day Observance Ceremony at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, with almost 100 people attending a moving service held within the Remembrance Garden.
Chief Executive Officer Jodie Geissler provided an opening address, reminding all in attendance of the importance of taking time to reflect at moments such as ANZAC Day.
“As we stand here together today, we will all have our own memories of family and friends who have served our country. It is very good to stop from time to time to reflect and to honour.
“We are an organisation that provides essential care and veterans are a part of that, both in the past, present and into the future. The Repat has an incredible past and its role in serving our community continues to evolve and I look forward to supporting that as its new CEO.”
The event was attended by veterans and their families, local and state government representatives, members of Victoria Police, as well as staff from the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and across Austin Health.
Lest we forget.
