About us
The Youth Brief Intervention Service (YIBS) can support you if:
- You're between 12 and 24 years of age
- You're experiencing a lot of distress
- You may be in crisis
- You don't have a diagnosis of a psychiatric disorder
- You are supported by an agency such as Youth Support & Advocacy Service (YSAS), Child Protection or Youth Justice
- You live in Banyule, Boroondara, Yarra, Darebin, Nillumbik or Whittlesea
You'll be referred to us by the agency that supports you. We'll work together with you and the agency to understand the things that are contributing to your distress, and give you some strategies on how to deal with them.
YIBS is part of the Adolescent Intensive Management team.
