- BDP inpatient units
We care for and treat people with severe brain disorders who need to be in hospital, or are preparing to move from hospital back into the community.
About us
Our inpatient programs are based within two facilities: Mary Guthrie House, which has 30 beds, and our Step 2 Transitional Unit.
Usually, you will be admitted into these units for between 3 and 24 months in total, depending on your needs.
The Step 2 unit aims at improving your independent living skills. Staff work with you on activities such as attending to hygiene, household chores, meal preparation, budgeting, shopping and use of public transport.
Staff also aim to work with residents in improving your social and communication skills and other personal strengths.
