We care for a full range of critically ill patients.

  We provide liver transplants for people who live in Victoria and Tasmania and intestinal transplants for all of Australia.

  We care for and treat people with heart disease.

  We care for and treat people for diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

• General medical problems

  We care for and treat people with general medical problems, including people with complex issues that affect more than one organ.

For patients

You can be moved into our ICU if you are:

• Already in hospital
• Transferred here from our Emergency Department or after surgery
• Transferred here from another hospital
