PGY1 – Intern positions

PGY2 – HMO positions
Austin Health’s PGY2 program is aligned with the Australian Medical Council (AMC) National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training (NFPMT).
Our PGY2 positions are structured to provide a broad-based general training year, allowing junior doctors to consolidate their clinical skills and experience before progressing to more specialised or vocational training at PGY3.

Basic Physician Training (BPT2 and BPT3+)
Our BPT2 and BPT3 positions will be filled via the BPT2 & BPT3 Match conducted through the PPMCV.

PGY3+ – HMO Positions and Non- Accredited General Surgical Registrar
Austin Health offers HMO3 General, HMO3 Surgical and Non- Accredited General Surgical Registrar pathways. These roles are designed to provide doctors with the required rotations and clinical experience to support entry into college training programs.
