What to expect
You do not need to do anything to prepare.
You will need to remove glasses, dentures and jewellery from your head and neck before your x-ray.
Each type of dental x-ray is different.
What to bring
When you come to hospital for your appointment, you need to bring:
- Please bring any paperwork that you have been given about your test or examination
- Medicare card
- Health care card/concession card (if applicable)
- Private health insurance details (if applicable/if you want to use it)
- Adverse drug alert card (if you have one)
- X-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports
- Medicines you need to take while you are here
- List of medicines you are currently taking (or the boxes) including herbal supplements and vitamins
- Glasses, hearing aid, walking frame (if applicable)
- Your blood glucose meter and log book (if applicable)
- WorkCover or TAC details (if applicable)
What to leave at home:
- Jewellery
- Anything metal
- Other valuables
